MUSICA BRITANNICA RECORDING AWARD

The Trustees of the Musica Britannica Trust are delighted to have awarded the following grants:

2023

£2,000 to Giulia Nuti, to record an album of keyboard music by Benjamin Cosyn from Musica Britannica vol. 107.

£2,000 to Julian Perkins, to produce an audio-visual recording introducing and performing music by Thomas Tomkins, Maurice Greene and Thomas Roseingrave from Musica Britannica vols. 5, 84 and 106.

£2,000 to Solomon’s Knot, to produce a recording of vocal music by George Jeffreys from Musica Britannica vol. 105.

2024

No award was made in 2024.

2025

£2,000 to Martin Perkins, to record an album of music for three violins and continuo by Baltzar, Jenkins, Finger and others, drawing on repertoire from Musica Britannica vol. 103, with the ensemble Musical & Amicable Society.

£2,000 to Caroline Taylor, to produce a recording of songs by Arthur Sullivan, Maude Valérie White, Liza Lehmann and others from Musica Britannica vol. 56.
